Join Us!

Who can join?
The League welcomes members of both sexes who are 18 or older.

What is the membership fee?
Annual dues are $55 for an individual, $82.50 for a family, and $25 for a student. This gives membership in the Johnson County LWV as well as the State and National level.

Why does LWV charge a membership fee?

A portion of our modest dues helps to support a lobbyist at the state level and enables the League’s national efforts. Dues are not tax deductible; however, the League welcomes tax deductible contributions to pay for our educational projects.

Do I have to join in order to attend League of Women Voters events?
Most of our events are open to the general public. We’d love to see you there, and it will give you a chance to see what the League has to offer to members. Please check our calendar to see which events are open.

How do I join?

Contact our membership chair, Katy Hansen (319-466-3119). (Or email her at katyhansen@oaknoll.com.) She will be able to give you all the details on joining.

We look forward to meeting you!
